Spring is on its Way…
3/8/2010–Well, I’m getting into the spirit a little early this year…I guess it’s because it seems like it has been a long, stormy winter. Hope you will join me this weekend when I have Irishman, John Spillane, on the show..he literally will warm up your March and put a smile on your face. Don’t forget to set your clocks forward this weekend…it’s daylight saving time again. We’ll have more tickets this Sunday…the concert season is starting…yes, Hampton Roads there is light at the end of the tunnel…

It’s A New Month…
3/1/2010–Thanks to everyone who helped celebrate the Hunter At Sunrise 1st anniversary month and especially the Norva and the Sandler Center for tickets to give away during the festivities. I will have more tickets in the coming weeks. I have been apprised of some issues with the email process for winning the tickets which I hope to tackle in the days ahead.
I am also thankful that I finally got over my cold and felt reasonably good for Sunday’s show…Look for a special guest on Hunter At Sunrise as we approach St. Patrick’s Day…

Being Sick on Sunday…
2/21/10–Obviously one of the biggest obstacles for an announcer is the proverbial head cold…unfortunately I had to get mine on the weekend..it makes for a tough show to do. It’s hard to concentrate when your head is clogged and there’s that nasal noise that comes from your voice. Sunday was not pretty but I made it through. Thanks to those of you who hung in there with me. Next Sunday, I promise I’ll have it a little better together.

Some Thoughts on the 1st Year Anniversary…
2/14/10–It’s about 3:30 am and I am having trouble sleeping..so I thought I’d blog about the upcoming show…Somehow it does not feel like the 1st anniversary of anything really. This show just keeps going on and on, whether its called Sunrise on the Coast, Sunrise on Sunday, or Hunter At Sunrise, it remains such a blast to do. And I have been deeply blessed with some of the best listeners in the world who always seem to find the show wherever it is on the dial or on the computer…listeners who truly get the concept and come back every Sunday. To those of you who have followed the show through all the trials, tribulations, and changes, I take my hat off to you and salute. Thanks for hanging in there and for searching out Sunrise in all of it’s incarnations. And if you’re just tuning the show in for the first time today, the second year of Hunter At Sunrise is also dedicated to you…

Busy Weekend…
2/8/2010–I think all this snow is having a strange affect on me…suddenly I am spending an inordinate amount of time at my computer. This weekend I created Hunter At Sunrise Music on Facebook and already we have almost 350 members.Thanks to all who have joined. If you want to do the same, there is a link here at hunteratsunrise.com…it’s another way you can keep up with what’s going on with the show. The Hunter At Sunrise Anniversary is this weekend and once again I will be giving away tickets to the Ani DiFranco show at the Norva on March 3rd. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I’ve been doing this show for a year. All I can say is thanks for WHRV’s and your support.
There will be more about the anniversary as we get closer to the weekend.

Well, We Survived Another Weekend…
2/2/2010–The trip into work Sunday morning turned out to be uneventful..it was just an exercise in driving real slow. We’ll have more ticket give aways coming up this Sunday…Congratulations to Timothy Hodge and Sylvia Saunders for winning Marc Cohn tickets and Brenda Wright is going to the Norva for the Ani DiFranco show.
I’m really enjoying giving away these tickets…it’s amazing the show has lasted a year. Thanks for all of the support for what is ostensibly an underground show.

The Upcoming Anniversary…
1/22/2010–I am finding it hard to believe that we have been at this show for a year. There has been so much I have learned, especially about websites and web streaming…and learning is truly the ultimate goal of any project you pursue. On February 14th, I will have more about the wonderful people who helped me with this show and website. For now, I wish to thank the Norva and the Sandler Center for allowing me to give away tickets to their shows. It’s my wish that on the occasion of the show’s anniversary, that I give something back to the listeners who, every Sunday, wade their way into the new technology to listen to Hunter at Sunrise. Truly, my hat is off to you. Thank you so much for your support…

It’s Another Week…
1/13/2010–Glad to finally publish another music review on hunteratsunrise.com. Expect more of that in the New Year. Also, Feb. 14th is going to be more than just Valentines Day this year..it will be the year anniversary of Hunter At Sunrise..and to celebrate, I will have tons of ticket giveaways that day. So put it on your calendar, the Hunter At Sunrise anniversary Feb. 14th. Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year.

Off the Wall Show…
01/10/2010–I felt a little uneasy about Sunday’s show…the last hour didn’t feel right for some reason, but after all these years the show is still fun to do. Next Sunday I plan to start mixing in some of the artists and albums we played that are nominated for Grammys. Overall I’m not impressed with the top nominees…but the ones we played on the show during the year are certainly deserving. There is a list of nominees we played here on the website.
Now that we’re getting new discs in again, be looking for more music reviews here on the site.

Happy New Year!
1/3/10–Well, here is my first posting of the new year. I hope everyone had safe holidays and you’re ready for 2010. I sense that many people think we’re going to have a prosperous year ahead and I am right there with them. 2009 was not the greatest. We haven’t had any acoustic sessions of late on the show and I’m working on changing that soon. I also hope to have more concert information coming your way in the new year. Thanks again for everyone’s support of Hunter At Sunrise and hunteratsunrise.com through 2009…let’s make 2010 memorable…
