Thanks to Everyone…

3/30/9- Thanks to everyone who called in their support for public radio this past weekend, both on Out of the Box, Saturday, and on my show Sunday morning…it’s the only way this type of music mix is going to survive.

Hope you’ll tune in this weekend when Annie Johnson from Newport News joins us for an acoustic session…we’ll be talking about the Sea Level Singer/Songwriter Festival coming to Norfolk’s Ghent April 9th through 11th…

Thanks and take care,

Hunter

Another Big Weekend

Posted by Hunter on March 28, 2009 at 3:39 am in

3/28/9- It’s another very busy weekend as we enter the final week of WHRV’s pledge drive. I will once again visit Out of the Box Saturday afternoon from 1p to 5p…and I hope you will tune to hunteratsunrise.com on Sunday from 7a to noon and call in your pledge of support for Hunter at Sunrise.

Our guest this week is celtic guitarist, Robin Bullock.

Hope you’ll tune in Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

An Excellent Weekend

Posted by Hunter on March 23, 2009 at 11:05 am in

3/23/9- A big thanks to everyone who called in and pledged support for public radio over the weekend. Paul Shugrue and I raised almost $12,000 on Out of the Box, Saturday afternoon…close to a record for his show. And many of you called in during my show on Sunday to make a pledge.
It’s a great way to make sure that this kind of radio survives here in Hampton Roads.

Next Saturday, I will, again, guest on Paul’s show…so, if you didn’t catch us last weekend, you have a second chance….that will be on Out of the Box from 1p-5p on WHRV.

And I hope you will call in a pledge to support Hunter at Sunrise this Sunday as it airs on this website…it could use all of your help to keep going.

This coming Sunday, I will have celtic guitarist, Robin Bullock, on the show.

Hope you’ll give a listen,

Hunter

Big weekend ahead…

3/19/9- Not only am I doing Hunter at Sunrise this Sunday on this website, I also will be on Paul Shugrue’s Out of the Box on Saturday afternoon. It’s WHRV fund raising time and I’m hoping to help out as best I can. I will be on Paul’s show this Saturday and next Saturday, so I hope you’ll tune it.

Also, I will be fund raising on my show this Sunday…I hope you will donate during the show and support it. With the absence of commercials, this is the only way the show can survive.

I’ll also have Steve Poltz for San Diego on the show on Sunday.

So I’m going to be pretty busy, hope you enjoy the shows.

On to March 22nd…

3/16/9- Well, I’m done with the March 19th show and, again, I want to thank Theresa Anderson for a cool interview…Steve Poltz, former lead singer of the Rugburns, will make a return visit to the show this Sunday. He is hilarious.

A reminder that the shows are available On Demand on this site just below the RadioNtenna flash player.

Also you can purchase tickets through this site for the Sea Level Singer/Songwriter Festival main show with Jonatha Brooke at the Naro.

Thanks and Happy St. Pat’s day…

Coming up this Sunday…

Posted by Hunter on March 12, 2009 at 4:57 pm in

3/12/8- Hope you’ll join me this Sunday when singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Theresa Anderson, visits the show. Thanks to audio looping, The New Orleans artist’s solo presentation sounds like a full band.

Also make sure you notice some additions to the website. If you should come to the site and hear nothing, click on the link just below the flash player and you will call up another player tuned to radioNtenna.

Thanks and see you Sunday…

To Those who came to this website Sunday

Posted by Hunter on March 8, 2009 at 4:03 pm in

3/8/9- For those who came to hunteratsunrise.com expecting to hear a show on Sunday only to hear nothing, our apologies. The flash player was inoperative for the first 2 hours of the show. Just another glitch we must overcome.

But thanks to Karl Werne, Lawrence Lambert, B.J. Leiderman, and Tray Eppes for rescuing everything with a great acoustic session.

Next weekend we have Theresa Anderson on the show..singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

Don’t forget Sunday’s show should be available by 3/9/9 On Demand at this site and WHRV.org.

And please sign up for our email network on the home page, so we can keep you up to date with what is happening with the show.

Thanks and see you next Sunday…

Hunter

An Update and a Note of Thanks

Posted by Hunter on March 2, 2009 at 11:44 am in

3/2/9- Thanks to Julie Clark for coming on our first “official” show on 3/1..next Sunday, we welcome Karl Werne, Lawrence Lambert, B.J. Liederman and Tray Eppes… With the first show behind me, I’m feeling like every thing went pretty well.

We are still working out some bugs but I am confident that it will only get smoother from here on out.

And a very special thanks to all of those who have posted such nice comments on this blog.
I am so happy that the show is being well received. It’s only with your support that we are going to make this work.

So on to the next show…It’s great to be back…

It is so good to hear your voice and enjoy your program again! We have been true fans from the Sunrise on Sunday show to your program on Bob Radio. We voiced our disappointment to Bob when we found out you would no longer be with us on Sunday mornings. We were actually lost without you after listening all of these years. Welcome back to our home!!!
