Well, the Waterside Listening Room is Up and Running
7/27/9–Thanks to everyone who came down to Waterside Sunday night and supported the new listening room. The evening was a rousing success. Thanks to Robbin Thompson for an incredible show and for coming on Hunter At Sunrise earlier in the day.
This coming Sunday, Grant Austin Taylor and Holly Road will play the room..it’s a free concert. A great way to cap the Bayou Boogaloo in Town Point Park.
Just a reminder that we are now post the playlists for Hunter At Sunrise on this website. And we will be giving away tickets this weekend to Crosby Stills and Nash and Loggins & Messina…both coming to the Ntelos Pavilion in Portsmouth.
Thanks and I hope you join us this Sunday at 6p to experience the Waterside Listening Room.
Hunter

7/22/9: Please note the changes to the acoustic series news release on the home page. Nashville’s Kevin So has been added to August 9th and The Gurleys will be playing August 30th. JoAnna Lynne is now on Sept. 13th..of course, Robbin Thompson is still this Sunday.
Again thanks to Festevents for pulling all this off and Tidewater Arts Outreach for providing all the refreshments.
Hope to see everyone this weekend for Robbin Thompson at 6pm. He also will be live on Hunter at Sunrise at 11:30p on Sunday.
Take care,
Hunter

Hallelujah! We have achieved a Playlist!
7/20/9–Yes, if you look below our flash player, you will see the playlist from 7/19/9 (not a great show but you can still see the playlist). These will be posted weekly. And again thanks to Tidewater Arts Outreach for providing concessions for the Waterside Listening Room which hosts Robbin Thompson this Sunday as well as other artists every Sunday into September. Some of the concession money goes to TAO that provides arts to those who cannot otherwise experience them.
Don’t forget that Robbin Thompson will be on the show this Sunday before he performs at 6p at the Waterside Listening Room inside Waterside.
Thanks
Hunter

The Waterside Listening Room takes Shape…
7/18/9–Tidewater Arts Outreach has agreed to run the concessions at the new Waterside Listening Room and we are happy to have them on board. Concession stand proceeds will support TAO that provides arts and music to nursing homes and hospitals. Hope you’ll check out our line up for the coming weeks…the list is still growing and there will be more additions soon.
Thanks and take care,
Hunter

What the… ?
From Mike:
Okay… I suppose it’s pretty obvious I’ve been messing around with the Website.
Without going into a lot of geeky detail, I kinda liked the way the old site looked, but there were issues with some of the underlying content management system technology that were holding up development. So I picked a different developer’s system with better code. This will make it easier to do some stuff.
I hope it meets your wants and needs at least as well as the old design.

Harborfest is over…July’s going to be busy…
7/7/9—I had a great time hosting the Hard Rock Fish Cafe tent at Harborfest over the weekend..some really great performances from local and regional artists, plus Livingston Taylor and Dave Barnes..I took my camera and we’re posting a video of what I saw on this website.
July is looking very busy as Hunter at Sunrise becomes involved with bringing artists to perform at the new Waterside Listening Room on the Elizabeth River side of the Waterside. Entertainment is kicking off on Sunday, July 26th, and we’ll have shows every Sunday through August and September. Stay tuned for an extensive list of performances in an intimate setting.
Thanks and take care,
Hunter
