The Waterside Listening Room Takes a Weekend Off….

8/31/9–Wow, What a great show at the Listening Room on Sunday with the Gurleys. A huge crowd saw Bill, Pam and Macon Gurley put on a primo performance and I want to thank them for making the journey from Lancaster. This Sunday, the room goes on hiatus till the 13th when Joanna Lynne visits.

Keep checking hunteratsunrise.com for changes in the Listening Room Line Up…we’re adding more artists all of the time and the shows, of course, are free.

Just a reminder that my playlists are now posted on the website and the list is long of shows that can be heard On-Demand.

The Gurleys visit Hunter At Sunrise and WAVY TV

8/26/9–The Gurleys, who are playing the Waterside Listening Room this Sunday at 6p, will also be on Hunter at Sunrise that day and on WAVY’s noon show this Friday. I am so happy that the Listening Room seems to have taken off with large crowds every weekend.
One Note: There will be no show at the Listening Room on Sunday, Sept. 6th…but the series will start up again on the 13th with JoAnna Lynne.

Hope you’ll come down and check the room out…it’s a great place to wind down your weekend with some great, free music.

A Great Time was Had by All….

8/24/9–Mucho thanks to Stephen Bennett  for an incredible show Sunday Night at the Waterside Listening Room. We had such a great crowd which obviously came to quietly listen to one of the great talents in our area. This coming Sunday, we have the Gurleys on my show and in the Listening Room for a free concert. They will be playing songs from their newly released self titled disc. Just a reminder that there are now pictures on hunteratsunrise.com taken at the Listening Room and we are establishing a link to a multi-media center where we have videos posted. Hope you’ll take a look…

Stephen Bennett visits the Listening Room this Sunday…

8/21/9–Just another reminder that Acoustic Guitarist, Stephen Bennett, will be visiting
the Waterside Listening Room this Sunday at 6pm. Stephen presents a very lively show that I’m sure you’ll appreciate. Tidewater Arts Outreach will again be providing refreshments. For pictures of past shows, check the link on the left side of our home page. We also will be giving out more tickets this Sunday to the Loggins and Messina show on Aug. 25th.

Another Great Night at the Listening Room…

8/17/9–It was another great show at the Waterside Listening Room Sunday Night with Mercy Creek definitely providing a fine performance. Thanks again to Cheryl Nystrom and Jim Ball. Mercy Creek visits Hunter At Sunrise This Weekend

8/12/9–If all goes well, Mercy Creek will make a return visit to Hunter at Sunrise this Sunday…The session will be in advance of the duo’s appearance at the Waterside Listening Room at 6pm Sunday evening.

Don’t forget that I will be giving away a pair of Loggins and Messina tickets this Sunday and we will be raffling off a pair at the Mercy Creek show Sunday evening.

Wow, What a weekend….

8/10/9–What a great time we had Sunday night at the Waterside Listening Room as both Kevin So and Bobby Blackhat Walters put on awesome shows. Robert Lee was the winner of the TAO raffle for CSN tickets. We’re very happy to be welcoming Mercy Creek to the Listening Room stage this coming weekend. Tidewater Arts Outreach will, again, be raffling tickets, this time to Loggins and Messina.

The Listening Room has had a very exciting beginning…a packed house every weekend.
Hope everyone will come out and support it…it’s the finest free entertainment in town.
A portion of the proceeds from refreshment sales goes to Tidewater Arts Outreach which provides music and arts to nursing homes and hospitals.

We’re continuing to post the playlist on this website every week and I will be giving away more Loggins and Messina tickets this weekend.

Bobby Blackhat Walters And Kevin So this Weekend and a big Ticket Giveaway

8/4/9- Well, we have another big weekend coming up with Bobby Blackhat Walters and Kevin So playing the Waterside Listening Room. Everything starts at 4:30p on Sunday. Bobby will also be on my show. Tidewater Arts Outreach will raffle a pair of tickets to the Crosby, Stills and Nash show at the Listening Room. Another piece of news…we just added Karl Werne to our list of Listening room artists…he will be playing on Sept. 20th.
We’ve posted the playlist and on-demand link from last Sunday’s show, so I hope you will check that out.

CSN Tickets to be Given Away at Waterside Listening Room

8/2/9– Many thanks to Grant Austin Taylor and Holly Road for a fine show at the Waterside Listening Room Sunday Night. Next Sunday, we will be raffling tickets to the Aug. 15th CSN show at Ntelos during the Kevin So/Bobby Blackhat Walters show at the Listening Room. Hope you’ll come down and check out the new venue…Bobby Blackhat will be on my show next Sunday in advance of his performance.
