Yes, we are returning to live shows this Sunday and what a way to do it, but with a live acoustic session featuring Little Doors. The trio, which formed last year, is made up of three great artists who have visited the show before as members of other bands. Vocalist, Lawrence Lambert, was a long time member of Big Wide Grin. Guitarist Larry Berwald has played with a host of local artists, most recently Seth Stainback and Roosterfoot. Bassist Dave Hufstedler has backed a number of bands including Who We Are Not and the Evan Button Band. But together they are creating a sound far removed from anything they have done before and it is truly working. In their hands, mid-twentieth century popular songs come alive again...melodies by Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and many more. Their Facebook page puts it best, "Little Doors is a musical group that wanders through this seemingly endless canon of great songs, gathering tunes like shells on the beach and taking them home to enjoy again and again." Hope you will join us this Sunday for this very special live acoustic session. For more about Little Doors, click HERE.
