Sandy Takes Out Hunter At Sunrise

700840main sandy npp cropped 946-710Well because of the appoaching mega-storm called Sandy, we are having to run an archived show this Sunday. My other job calls, and also it's not clear just what kind of weather we will have Sunday morning.  So I am calling an audible and repeatingjesseterry the cool show we aired on Sept. 9th of this year featuring Jesse Terry and his friends.  I hope you will enjoy the show all the same as we hunker down and stay safe from this late season hurricane/no'er-easter. Danielle Ate The Sandwich Visits Hunter At Sunrise This Sunday

Danielle Ate The Sandwich will play the Cafe Stella on Colonial Avenue in Norfolk Saturday night and then will appear on Hunterdanielle-ate-the-sandwich At Sunrise Sunday morning.  Danielle Ate The Sandwich (The brainchild of Danielle Anderson) is coming to Norfolk fresh off of releasing her latest album Like A King this summer. NPR's Mountain Stage says of Colorado's Danielle Ate the Sandwich, "She posted her first YouTube video in 2007 and by the following year the demand for her music had spread far and wide. Accompanying herself on ukulele and guitar, Danielle Ate The Sandwich uses simple observations to create her honest, poetic lyrics that range from silly to the more serious."

Jesse Terry and Friends Visit Hunter At Sunrise This Sunday

Singer Songwriter Jesse Terry of New York visits Hunter At Sunrise this Sunday and he's bringing along his friends, Lizanne Knott and Michael Logen.  All three are playing the River Notes House Concert in Norfolk Friday night.  We've been playing a lot of Jesse's new sophomore record, Empty Seat on a Plane, and we're so looking forward to this performance this Sunday morning. A Very Special Acoustic Session this Sunday Morning

TrayeppesthreeHunter At Sunrise will return to Live Shows this Sunday with a Bang, as we welcome four very accomplished local and JulieClarkPicregional artists to the program.  Julie Clark of Norfolk, Tray Eppes of Farmville, Jimmy Masters of Va. Beach, and Larry Berwald of Hampton will collaborate on songs written by Randall Bramblett on this weekend's show.  It's all in advance of Bramblett's return to the area on Sept. 22nd for a benefit show at the Suffolk Center for the Cultural Arts.  All four will be backing up Bramblett seeking to raise
