Fresh off the release of a brand new record....the Americana band, Mipso, pays its first visit to Hunter At Sunrise this Sunday morning. The four piece ensemble from Chapel Hill  is out on tour of West Virginia and Virginia in support of its April release, Coming Down the Mountain,  which is garnering rave reviews. In town for a house concert at the North Shore Point House Concert Series in Norfolk, we got to sit down with the band for a cool acoustic session. We even found out the origin of their unusual name. We are so excited to have Ian Randall Thornton back on the show.... especially since he is set to release his new disc, Lineage, on August 25th. It's going to be cool to hear some of this great new music Sunday morning. Ian is a Norfolk native who has emersed himself in music since he was 7 years old. Through the years he's been influenced by Americana, folk, progressive post-rock and even thrash rock. Lineage will be his debut full length project and we are so happy to help in its release. Hunter At Sunrise Is Getting Roo'd This Sunday Morning As Anthony Rosano's A-Roo-Stic Trio Visits

Well, maybe you've heard of Anthony Rosano and his Conqueroos but maybe you don't know about his A-ROO-Stic trio which just formed about a few weeks ago. The blues ensemble features Anthony with Coqueroos bassist, Paul Warren, and percussionist, Greg Corbin.
